30th Annual New York Custom Knife Show

George will be demonstrating his self defense techniques during the show on Friday, November 16 and Saturday, November 17, 2007. The New York Custom Knife Show will be held at the Park Central Hotel at 870 7th Ave, New York, NY. Cost is $15 for a One Day pass and $20 for the Two Day Pass. The 30th Annual New York Custom Knife Show welcomes Special Guest Richard "Dick" Marcinko. Dick Marcinko, a Pennsylvania native and a navy man for over 30 years comes to share his story at the New York Custom Knife Show November 16 & 17, 2007. Dick's Military experience covers a wide range of billets requiring Special Warfare expertise. His military career began in the Navy in 1958 at Naval Air Station, Naples, Italy. Dick worked his way into the Navy's Underwater Demolition Teams. During two tours in Vietnam serving as a Navy SEAL, Marcinko was awarded numerous medals. Marcinko and his SEAL platoon became such a problem for the enemy that the Viet Cong posted a reward of 50,000 piasters for his death. Due to Dick’s many years of service and experience he was tasked with creating and commanding SEAL Team SIX, the Navy’s first and only counter-terrorist command. After leading several successful missions, Marcinko was named commanding officer of a second counter-terrorism unit, Red Cell. His experiences led to The New York Times best-selling autobiography "Rogue Warrior" as well a subsequent fictional novels in a series called "Rogue Warrior". Marcinko is a spokesperson for Zodiac Boats Maritime Training Academy, Oakley Sunglasses and is currently designing two knives as a Rogue Warrior series for Stider Knives.
